The Alluvial Collective works to end inequity based on difference by cultivating belonging and wholeness in the world.

What We Do

The Alluvial Collective uses dignity-based design and engagement tools to create physical and virtual spaces where trust and cooperative action are inspired through dialogue and experiential learning. We create conditions where exploring context, conditions, and history yields knowledge and energy for repair and emergent possibilities.

The Alluvial Collective partners with people seeking opportunity and impact – community leaders and change-making organizations, teams in business and industry, and with youth and education spaces – supporting cultures of belonging and transformation.

What is Alluvial, and Why a Collective?

Rich Alluvial soil has been the foundation for human flourishing for millennia, from the valley of the Nile River to the Mississippi River Delta and Indo-Gangetic Plain of North India. Alluvial soils control toxins and slow floods, all while settling that which nourishes for fertility and growth.

For twenty-five years, a Collective has formed of young people, local leaders, organizers, educators, and policymakers, all using their gifts to nourish change, healing, and possibility.

Our values are the foundation of who we are and how we pursue our mission.

The Power of Story

The Alluvial Collective envisions a world where people honestly engage with history in order to live more truthfully in the present, where the inequities of the past no longer dictate the possibilities of the future.

We envision a world where people of all identities are treated equitably, where equality of and access to opportunity are available and valued by all, where healing and reconciliation are commonplace, and where social, economic, and environmental justice are upheld and honored.

We believe that we must set the intention and act with purpose to make this vision a reality.

Support our collective movement to end inequity for all people.
